Do gold dust day gecko's need UV lighy?

I've seen some conflicting information- some say yes, some say no it's not needed...

Cool vivarium!! And yes day geckos do need UV lighting A & B with night geckos the jury's still out...

In a concise manner, no Phelsuma do not NEED UV lighting. I have kept them w/o UV for some time now and they've even been breeding. However, there are risks of undersupplimenting/oversupplimenting Calcium w/vD3 and vitamin A. If you do use UV, make sure to use Calcium w/o vD3 as it is toxic in high levels. If you have any follow-up questions, please ask.

thanks for the info! how much calcium d3 do u suppliment?- is there a way to tell if they have been oversuplimented?
