I have a good size male redfoot He keep follow my desert tort around and his neck stick all the way and it looks like he is scanning him/her keep moving his head fromleft to right I tried to separate since they are different species but the big guy keep on following her/ him is this a sign that I need to get a redfoot female I have caught trying to mount the desert and then making these weird sounds any help would be appreciated Thanks Dianne

First off you should never even have two seperate tortoise species together, their intermix of parasites could be deadly.

Secondly, if he's mounting things and you actually have the right specs for eggs and homes for the babiesm and you can handle the egg laying..go for it.
