Redfoots and night time lows

tmshaffer Oct 27, 2006 08:08 AM

Posted this one the Redfoot section with no response. At what temps do you guys bring in your redfoots. I have a yearling and a few babies. I have built and outdoor pen. And was wondering what temps are to cold. I live in Florida, but some nights are colder than others. Thanks

I bring my little ones in when the low temps get into the low 60s. Or, if it is raining and cold.
My adults stay out until the lows are in the mid 50s but only if it will be sunny in the mornings. Usually in south Florida it warms up into the 70s by noon even in winter. The ground temperature is much warmer too. They feed and are quite active at these temperatures.
