Getting eggs to hatch?

dustbunny Oct 27, 2006 11:44 AM

Hellos

I work at a school biology department taking care of the fish and frogs. We have a pair of ACF's, an albino female and a normal male. When I went to feed them today I noticed some eggs in the tank. There were only about 15, at the most.. not alot at all. I moved the eggs into another tank which I don't know if that was a good idea or not, but I don't think I squished any of them and I didn't touch them. Will she lay anymore? If she does over the weekend no one will be there to do anything with them so hopefully they're ok.

I put them all into a small tank with distilled water, no filter or anything. Do they need a filter or air stone or something?? (we don't keep anything in with the adult frogs but I've never taken care of the eggs).

How long does it take them to hatch (is that even what its called for frogs? )

Any websites that tell you how to care for eggs or tadpoles would be great!

Thanks!

Nevermind, they did turn into tadpoles...that was fast!

Now I'll just have to see if I can keep them alive... they're soooo small!
