rescued tokay

begunwithaletter Nov 10, 2006 10:07 PM

I do a lot of rescues in my area, and today I picked up my first Tokay gecko. The parents bought him because he 'looked neat' and didn't realise that these guys aren't really all that 'cuddly' after he took a few bites out of their kids' hands. He's thin, and dehydrated, but he's already jumping all over the place and inhaling crickets, so hopefully he'll bounce back

Good for you, good for him.He looks healthy all around, and if he's eating well, sounds like it should work out well for you.Good luck.

Went in to check on the quarantines today, and found him dead on the floor of his tank. This sucks, I've never lost a rescue...

At least he got to live out his last few days in solitude and comfort...
