I wouldnt worry too much about the heat, as long as it doesnt get below 70. Although, a little higher wouldnt hurt either. The biggest thing is water. you need a REALLY big water dish at the very least. When I kept my firebellys, I had them in a tank that was 50/50 land and water. They spent a majority of the time right on the waters edge, and rarely went fully on to the land. I also used an under tank heater. If you go with the water dish approach, versus the 50/50 approach, which I wouldnt blame you for because it makes cleaning an uncomprehensible chore, I would provide more than one water dish. Before I made my tank half/half I had just one water dish, and believe it or not my toads fought and wrestled like crazy. When I got another dish, the figting became much more subdued, and then stopped all together when I made the tank 50/50. They are apparently very terrotorial over their "pond" lol. Anyway I hope this helped.

just wondering, why were they are a "joke gift", animals shouldn't be given as jokes, it 's just not funny. but since u allready have them their care is as follows: 10 gallon min. screen or galsss top, plants, rocks, large water dish, de-chlorined water for in the dish, peat or moss substrate, temps of around 75F, crix to eat, vitiman/calcium supplements, something to hide in/under, layer of gravel to help w/drainage, and some kind of lighting, heat lamps are too hot so u need a florescnet bulb, they don't produce heat and wouln't kill you plants. i bet your friend didn't tell you any of this, but it will probally cost at least 75$ if you want to make them happy. sorry if i sound rude, it's your friend that i'm angry w/ not u.
