Someone told me to look at the tongue. It is pink, does that mean anything?

Its either a nile or a ornate monitor. I think its a nile. There is something about one having a pink tounge and the other having a blue one. But i'm not sure which one goes to.

varanus ornatus or ornate forest monitor, ornate monitor. Formerly considered to be an ornate nile at one time until genetic testing reclassified it as its own species a few years ago or more.
