Cynops orientalis advice.

azhael Dec 02, 2006 06:55 AM

I bought two of these newts yesterday. They are fat and look nice. When i got them home they acted normal and even ate a little bit.
But now they are out of the water. I know it´s normal but what doesn´t look normal to me is that they refuse entering the water. One fell in the water and started histerically to try to get out.
It´s not that i´m really worried....but i had one some time ago that died because of a bacterial rot of a leg, and the first sign of sickness was staying the whole day out of the water...
any advice of what to do to prevent them getting sick? or is it completely normal and i´m just freaking out...??

thanx.
