ok i have a 5 mth old male green basi... and a 4mth old cwd in the same tank. they havent fought, they have their own favorite basking spots and theres two food dishes, but every now and then i see the cwd swinging his arms over and over looking at the basi, (keep in mind the basilisk is bigger) and he bumps his head a little. they have shown no aggression (the cwd sometimes basks ontop of the basilisk) im prepared to seperate them if anything really happens but does this mean my cwd is a male? does it mean he hates my basilisk? i thought the basilisks were the tougher ones??

Arm waving and headbobbing isnt just a male trait, females can do this too.. it can be an aggression or submissive posture, although aggressive is usually more common. If any aggression does occur, you said you already have a back up plan or enclosure, so really just keep an eye out. I dont know whether a bassie is more aggressive than a wd.. but i know wd's can have all sorts of personalities whether they tend to be aggressive or not. As long as there is adequate space for both of them, you shouldnt have many problems

these are common signs of mating rituals. i don't think it's anything to be worried about, during mating season for the WD i'de watch to make sure they don't fight. the basti might get irritated with the WD for humping him or something. good luck!

haha i name my pets after the first artist i listen to on the way back from getting it. the cwd is Ol Dirty Bastard, my crabs are Reakwon Da Chef and Hell Rell, my boa is GhostFace Killah, i was in the mood for jackson when i got him i guess ha.

i can honestly say i've never known anyone who names their herps that way!
