day geckos your preference

girlsayvoid Dec 05, 2006 05:58 PM

I have had a giant madagascar day gecko for the past 7 years. He's getting old and I'm realizing that it won't be long before he passes on. So I'm looking for recomendations on other day geckos that you think are just as peasing to the eye and enjoyable to own. I would like to have lower maintainance geckos if possible and definately a day gecko not a nocturnal one.

post pictures if you have them.

I wouldn't write him off too quickly. They can live up to 15 years or even longer. If the animal is only 7, he still has some time left in him.

Just so you know, your guy isn't "old" by any means. I have a male that I got about ten years ago as an adult that is still producing numerous fertile clutches with different females each year, and looks as good as a year old boy. I wouldn't put it past them to make it over 20 years!
