New Tegu starting to act normal.....

raingerjoe Dec 08, 2006 01:54 PM

My red tegu finally came out to bask today, I didn't have any crickets available so i offered some ground turkey. When I came back from work all the ground turkey was gone and so was the tegu....back in his hide under the substrate....oh well..

Anyways, just wondering if ground turkey w/ supplements is a good staple of food for such a young tegu? Or should it be offered as a treat only???

Thanks,

Jose............

you can give him insects, turkey, and a mouse of appropriate size in alternating days all with fruits and veggies on the side. dust all the food with calcium and multivitamins. if you haven't already try to get 93% or leaner of the ground turkey.
