Eastern Newts, and water temp.

I read that you can keep 2-3 of these in a single 10g aquarium. Is this true? I don't plan on keeping that many, I just want one, but I have a 10g aquarium free and would use that if possible.

Also, how does one regulate temperature? I read that water needs to stay at 65degrees. Is this easily done by leaving things to room temperature, or does a fan or other cooling device need to be aimed at the cage? Any help would be appreciated.

Three in a ten should be fine.
Check out the care sheet at http://www.caudata.org/cc/species/Notophthalmus/N_viridescens.shtml
if you check the www.caudata.org/cc home page there is an article link there that should have some suggestions for you.
