Sexing and Sociability

lilgossling22 Dec 12, 2006 09:06 PM

How old does a kingsnake have to be to sex?
Also do kingsnakes tend to attack other reptiles. My little girl (technically we don't know the sex but we're calling it a girl for now) gets along great with my puppy and is very curious about my leopard gecko but my leopard gecko is terrified of her (he doesn't mind the puppy but he runs away from her).

i don't mean to sound like a nag (i'm sure i do, sorry), but i would never let my snakes near another animal, i'd be to worried about accidents. plus snakes really aren't social, aside from hibernation and breeding anyway.

as for sexing that can be done at anytime in a snakes life, i think cirtian tree pythons/boas are the exception because of tail kinking tho.
