Thinking of getting Jeweled Lacertas....

minicopilot Dec 24, 2006 08:24 AM

I've kept and bred various types of lizards and snakes and I am considering getting Jeweled Lacertas.
I've never kept these awesome animals, although I was always tempted throughout the years!
Can anyone give me a source of info on their care requirements whether it be a site, book or your personal experiences?
Also, can these be fed pinks, fuzzies, and crawlers as a part of their diets OR the main diet or should they be fed a diet of insects.

Thank you

they should be kept in a woodlands style enclosure, perhaps fir bark chippings as a substrate. maybey with some sandy areas.
a large one could be fed some mice, in fact it'd be nutritional.
but the main diet for an adult should consist of medium sized to large locusts, adult black crickets etc. dont give it anything to small.
