I decided to let him dry out. I'll let you know how it goes.

Don't let him dry out. During estivation, you must always keep him moist. In nature, they usually estivate during the cold season. And what does the cold seasons bring in? Water (rain, snow, watever). Water him!
I'll water him.
Should I turn off the heat lamps? If so how long?
