I suggest that you do a search of the forums, there is alot of information about land/water terrariums. I would also suggest to search the toad forum (fire belly toads need the half and half)

well, usualy we would install a glass divider, as wide as the aquarium size (INSIDE the aquarium), and the height can be adjusted to how deep you want the water section/land section to be (of course, obviously do not divide till the top of the aquarium ;P). Some people install the glass divider a bit slanted towards the land section so their pets can crawl to the land section, or, as an alternative, put a rock next to the glass divider (or some other climbing material, so your pet can crawl easily in and out of the water, like driftwood glued to the rim of the glass divider), of course, that would be necesary IF the water is quite deep (deep enough that your pet can ne submerged/float, i personaly use a rock for my malaysian boxie). If the water is shallow (like used for horned frogs), there is no real need for a object to climb on, your pet can just easily crawl in and out. Some people also use sand on top of the slanted divider, just use aquarium/silicone sealant and sprinkle sand/gravel on top. Just make sure the whole thing is secure.

Now, the question is what animal is the glass divider for? coz it realy depends on the animal

false bottoms make this a lot easier, go to amphibiancare.com, there's a bunch of articles about that stuff.
