About a week or two ago, I was looknig for bearded dragons in a local pet store when I came across two *apparently* large skink-like lizards. Since no beardies were in sight, I purchased the two of them. Since then I have become the proud owner of 5 plated lizards.

With a variety of plateds, I noticed differences, and went out on the web to classify my scale skinks.

Dead ends everywhere. No sure classification on any except two.

So now I ask this forum to help me clarify the names *with pics, of course* of all the members of the Genus Gerrhosaurus.

Gerrhosaurus major was easiest to find and classify.

The others, not so much.

After deducing and searching the net with my friend, I have come up with a somewhat valid classification set.

Major, of course, is listed above.

Validus.

Nigrolineatus. *thanks to a skull identification site*

Flavigularis.

And finally,

the hidden species,

Typicus.

I found that there is a LOT of misidentification in this genus, so feel free to correctly identify any of the following.
