Help! Black crispy heater residue...

Leopard_Legend Jan 07, 2007 02:49 PM

Over the past two months my heater has slowly been covered in a crispy brown almost fury feeling brown residue. It's kinda weird, and today while cleaning out the cage I had to use a razor blade to get it off. It seems like it's possible that it's burnt algae. It's also quite thick, but doesn't seem to have much affect on the turtle herself.
Thanks

I had something like that but not furry, figured it was baked on turtle poo
