I'm building a hide box for my cali king out of a tree trunk and wanted to find out if there are preferred types of trees to use. I've heard cedar is no good and would like to find out if anyone knows.
Thanks.

I believe hardwood is your safest bet (deciduous)

Thanks foir the reply. I'll have to get a good piece of maple or similar wood for this project.

pretty much any hardwood is fine, maple, aspen, oak, etc. Avoid 'pines' (ie white, red, spruce etc) or cedar.
