CRESTED GECKO DIET

saiya Aug 11, 2006 09:37 AM

Does anyone have any personal experience with the T-Rex crested gecko diet, as well as the dust. so that you can give me your opinion on it. Im getting my gecko in 2 weeks and am wondering about whether I should purchase any. The breeder Im getting him from hasnt not recommended it. Im just curious about how much of a necessity it is.
Thanks for your time

The crested gecko diet is great. It contains everything a crested gecko needs to thrive and grow. I use it with both my adults and babies and they all eat it eagerly. It is easy to prepare and you don't need anything else besides the diet. It is fine to add a few small crickets or other insects to their diet for variety but it isn't necessary.

It is also much better than fiddling with baby food and crickets all the time, and in fact, this isn't a complete diet anyway, requiring dusting and gut loading insects etc to get a complete diet into your geckos. Also, I find the babies feed more readily on the crested gecko diet than they do on insects or baby food.
