I've just got a striped cali king snake about 12/14 inch long had him 3 weeks, he still does not like coming out for exercise i know it is common for kings to spray musk and strike whilst young. i just wondered how long this lasts he comes out every day for sbout 5 mins but he shows no sign of becoming more settled

i have a snake thats just growing out of it after about a year. my other one is the same size as yours and never so much as givin me a tail rattle. it all depends on the snake.
just be patient with him and continue handling him a little bit every day, just make sure you don't put him down when he musks, only when hes calm.

cheers for that i look forward to a fun year luckily he is fine once he is out and doesn't tail flick or anything once he has been picked up and he never stops moving
