Well, I took to the vet a stool sample from my CWD. It appears she has a parasite and a protozoa. Will Parrazap get rid of these things? I've made an appointment to take her in to actually see the vet. It'll cost $50. That's worth it, no?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts,

Mark

You said..."It appears she has a parasite and a protozoa. Will Parrazap get rid of these things?"...there are lots of parasites...you need to be more specific.

You said..."I've made an appointment to take her in to actually see the vet. It'll cost $50. That's worth it, no?"...it would be worth it to me to make sure mine didn't have parasites. Besides, the vet will know the right medication and the right dose to give it....and I'm sure he/she will give your dragon a check up too.

Thanks, kinyonga,

I have the appointment this morning. I don't relish the idea of boxing her up and traveling to the vet, but they said that was the only way to get a prescription. I don't remember what the parasite is; the protozoa is something that sounds like La Guardia.

Thanks again for the reply,

M.

Do you mean giardia? Giardia is a single celled organism/protazoa.

Yeah, it's giardia. I have two medicines to give her, which I hate because she won't open her mouth. I have to give one every day for five days and one every two weeks. Hope it does the trick.

Thanks,

M.

Try slipping just the tip of the syringe in between the lips and easing it in.

If you can feed the dragon something it likes, you might be able to sneak the meds in while its chewing.

Others have had success using a spatula (but don't use it for people/in the kitchen after!) to get the mouth open. Just be careful...you don't want to damage the mouth.

Good luck with it!

to get it's mouth open you can use a guitar pick or something else like that. it's a lot easier to do it with two people though. good luck with your dragon!
