How beautiful is that?! They may be one of the most accessible, but are also one of the more beautifully colored as well. My w/c female has such a cool personality. She will actually lap up fruit mix from my or my daughter's finger tip. The cool thing about those Hawaiian wild caughts, as I have heard, is that there are no restrictions for exporting out of Hawaii. However, I am not sure how customs on this side goes. Does anyone here have any factual information on this?
I checked with the Hawaiian Department of Agriculture while I was on vacation in Hawaii. They stated it is illegal to breed and keep all introduced reptiles in Hawaii and they should be left alone. But I did not ask if it is legal to capture and export them to a different state. Any case I was not looking to capture them for export, I only wanted a few pictures for posterity.
