Where to get food?

Chameleon996 Jan 26, 2007 01:10 PM

I have been thinking about getting a Sulcata for several years now and I am finally able to give it the proper amount of room. My question is this. I was just checking out the website suggested below (sulcata station). Where do you get these different kinds of grasses and hay? I know you can grow them outside but where I live we get a few months of snow and my sulcatas will have to be moved inside. How do I feed them then? The dandelions are not a problem my beardies love when that time of year rolls around. My neighbors think I am a nut out side with a collander picking weeds.

Oxbow hay company is on the web they have very good products for a lot of different animals. The Carolina Pet Supply online also carries a lot of foods for turtles & tortoises.. there's the Turtle Cafe I think they tend to sell a lot of seeds so that you can grow things on your own.
You could google this & probably find a lot of online supplies.
If you have local farm & ranch supply stores you could probably buy good grass hays from there.

I'm lucky I live in a place that's similar to their native habitat,I have a year round supply of foods on my own property.
The more I talk to people online the more I realize how lucky I am.
