This might make you smile : )

Today, I went to my MHD enclosure and saw Zhphyr doing this.

If it is not proof that they need more height, I don't know what is! : )

In case you don't realize, he is completly upside down on the cieling of his enclosure. He got there 100% by himself. I didn't put him there. Ha-ha-ha!

Jobi, you are supposed to be ignoring me : ) but I Figured I might as well bring it to your attention. I realize he was trying to get to the heat. Considering I had my Vivarium torn apart today and my basking light broke. So I figured he wanted heat. the temp next to the lights is about 85f, and everything else is 75F. But also, I have been a little low on food, and crickets are attracted to the heat up there. So maybe, in the excitment of today, Zhephyr was simply "Exploring" around the other areas of his habitat, and notice the open food. Because everytime a cricket twitched, he made an attempt to get it. But obviously MHDs are not ment to hunt upside down a wire screeen : )

I will ignore you when you deliberately try to flame me, and this you often do!
I have been offering information you are free to use or not, the problem is when you don’t understand or disagree with the information I offer, you post in contradiction to stir the put rather then debate about my views.
This is annoying and disrespectful for someone posting to help.

This post is a good example, your first statement implies the need for height (witch has nothing to do with your lizard clinging to the top) of course you knew why he’s doing this, your reference to heat shows your understanding.

You also make reference to open top, of course you know my take about open tops and why I don’t use them, this to you don’t understand.

In your lower post you show a nice acanthosaura ssp of the same specie we are discussing, of course your is much larger then those we posted, you showed the bulges of an obvious male, perhaps you think I am wrong in my statement about them not showing bulges? We they do but only when mature, many varanids are the same, some species show obvious bulges very young while others only bulge when sexually mature, this making sex id difficult. My intent was to inform the poster the animal was most likely a male even though others though it was female.

When I do this it is not in provocation and sure as hell not to argue, its simply to inform and help others, knowing these things allow to focus on things that matters most.

I post about lizards without concern for keepers, they don’t interest me in anyway, if the lizards do well my job is done.

Next year or the year after chances are you will no longer keep these lizards? however I have been keeping them a long time and will keep them long after you stop. Maybe this is why I make no efforts to be nice, however I am not rude either.
I do like your intellect and find your sense of humour delightful, but I am her to talk lizards not to make friends.

Now if you can honestly say you haven’t learn anything from me, that you don’t use any of my experience in your husbandry, then I am wasting my time on these boards.

Jobi, go back and read the previous post again. Hopefully you realize you assume too much. Just like with the roof thing, and you thought it was a staircase... remember that. Prime example: You're damn smart but you try to assume, I'm telling you we will get along better if you don't.

"perhaps you think I am wrong in my statement about them not showing bulges"
No, just showing an example of MY male, and how his bulges do show. Not trying to show you that you are wrong or anything...

"your first statement implies the need for height (witch has nothing to do with your lizard clinging to the top)"
That is a joke, because obviously everyone (Marcia, Bonnie, Evan, yourself, and I) Know how I fee about height with these lizards. Just kind of making an over exagerated remark to how I normally feel. A joke is all...

"You also make reference to open top, of course you know my take about open tops and why I don’t use them, this to you don’t understand."

How in the world are you going to say that when we haven't wrote two messages on the subject (and I mean REAL meassages)

Jobi, you assume too much, espeacily when all you know about me is in these dumb little messages.

"Next year or the year after chances are you will no longer keep these lizards? however I have been keeping them a long time and will keep them long after you stop."

I'll stop keeping them when they die. I guess according to you that should be right about when it happens... so yeah, I guess so.

Remember Jobi, these are my pets. I have names for them. You don't get tired of a dog and then sell it, do you? Well, maybe you do! (LoL, I am only joking, comic relief, cool down, Breathe)

Now if you can honestly say you haven’t learn anything from me, t"hat you don’t use any of my experience in your husbandry..."

You have no idea how much I have learned and taught, my freind.

Ahahaha...
I saw a 2 foot iguana do that once. Although, he was in a petstore cage, which probably had a lot to do with it.

It was funny anyway!

I've got two tree dragons (Japalura Splendida) that hang out and run around on their ceiling all the time. I've never seen my MHD do it though...
