Beautiful snake. But, it looks like an enyo.
This is my pair of Crotalus enyo furvus (CB 2002).

And some of my own captive breds 2006.

That helleri looks so nice that it looks like an enyo. One of the best defined patterns I have ever seen on a helleri. Which area did it come from?
They come from Sierra San Pedro Martir, Baja California, Mexico.

It doesn't appear to have the typical wide black band proximal to the rattle? Could it be a hybrid?
I have seen their parents and grandparents, they are for sure not hybrids.
This is a shot of the grandfather.

I agree,
That doesn’t look like a typical Southern Pacific. But if that is what it is, and it very well could be, it is one sweet looking Helleri. I have worked with hundreds of Southern Pacific’s, and one thing that I have noticed is that they all appear a little different. I've seen some adults that are the classic black phase, and others that appear light and well defined.
I agree that yours has a similar appearance of an enyo. But I can only see it on the side pattern. However, if you say it is a helleri, I believe you. Southern Pacific’s have a wide range of appearances and are an amazing species of rattlesnake.
Congrats on the spectacular snake:
