Found only in upper-elevations of 1,500m and up. Distinguished from lowland type by red and black bands on the ventrals as well as black vertebral stripe and purplish dorsum.


Compare and contrast with the lowland type.


If anyone has experience with coral snakes, especially Malaysian species, please do share, and especially for diet as getting really small snakes to feed this already small snake is out of the question.
