What sub-species is the blood boa from?

Blood boas originated from El Salvador locale B.c.imperator. So the subspecies is Imperator.

Bloods were bred into Salmons and other Colombian lines creating muddied lineages. The Bloods that come from these lines depending on the influence of Colombian heritage seem to differ in color, being more orange and or brown as they mature.

John Berry last year bred a pure El Salvador Blood to a female believed to be Nicaraguan and produced Bloods (she ended up being a het). These are pure CA, but not pure El Salvador.

Tracy Barker obtained Ron St. Pierre's original Blood boa stock and is still working with them. A number of people have acquired pure El Salvador bloods from Tracy or Ron. However the majority out there are mutts.
