Another quick question. I've been using the same Heat bulbs and UVB Flourescent lights for a while now (5-6months). When is a good time to get new ones? Or just use them until they burn out? Also, for Basilisk what's the best flourescent lighting? I've heard 2.0 and 5.0 and i've heard just 5.0. I have enough to have 2 flourescent bulbs, thanks.

heat lamps it doesn't matter a whole lot - heat is heat, replace them when they burn out. As for the UVB lighting, it's best to replace those every six months or so, because after that UVB production drops off significantly.

as far as the 5.0 and whatnot I have no clue, if anyone else wants to chip in that'd be wonderful, 'cause I'm curious about that too

2.0 are useless, 5.0 are better, but not good, 10.0 are better than 5.0 but not great. you should get a flood lamp. zoomed has them for 50$ and you can use them for a year. contact me if you have any questions. otis07_@hotmail.com
