What's the biggest tegu you ever saw?

What's the largest tegu you've ever seen? Does anyone have pics of any spectacularly huge tegus. In 2001 I the most massive red tegu at the Chicago Tinley Park show. It was huge! I wish I had taken a picture of it.

my male red is 48" and 25lbs. thats during hibernation, so he is actually skinny rght now lol. i think 10lbs is jowls i think he smuggles softballs on the side.

Mike, I have photos of that Tegu from Tinley Park somewhere. I'll see if I can find them. If I remember correctly he was a gorgeous cranberry red color. My daughter bought one of his offspring.

We took in a Red male last March that is a big boy. I've never measured him in length but we have weighed him and he tipped the scales at 23 pounds. He's a lovely animal and has been incorporated into our bevy of educational animals.

Hey thanks, that is a great pic. I would love to see a pic of that red tegu, as I've always wondered if it was as big as I thought it was or if it was my imagination : )

Here is some pictures of my tegu I use to have. He is now part of the eastbay vivirium educational program,and store pet.My musical career and kids have tooken over know.He was 4' 5"tl 21 "snt to vent and about 17lbs.All the other lizards I had were placed with good homes as well.
