when my ally had tapeworms i went to a fish store in the area and asked a friend who both keeps turtles and fish (for like 20 yrs) and he suggested to treat it with a certain fish medication. i think i soaked him in the actual tank after i cleaned it out. i think the medication turned the water green. after a few treatments of that, i have yet to see the tapeworms again. i cant remember the name, but will ask if you want me to find out.
as far as eating pellets, when ever i have had a stubborn turtle that wouldnt eat for me (painteds when i was way younger) i would just tease them tell they would open up their mouths and i would just place whatever insect in and put them in the water. they usually at it. you shouldnt have to tease a snapper to open up its mouth. i suggest putting the pellet in adn it should eat it. watch your fingers! notice i said place, im not suggesting to cram it down its throat. i dont have any other suggestions, my ally ate pellets no prob. maybe try trout chow. really has a fishy smell to it. i got like a 50 pound bag from a feed store for 13 bucks. might have been 20 though. good deal i thought since the pet store by me selss the same stuff in little cottage chees containers for 3.99!!!! rip off!
good luck
