I dont know much about turtles i found a common snapping turtle baby near the river and had it for like 7 months now. How fast do they grow, it seems like he hasnt changed much.

Yeah, mines not nearly that big. I mean it still looks like a baby. I've had it for like 5-7 months. It's grown a little but not like yours. I have him in a about 15 gallon tank, a good filter, and light. I feed him , baby feeders, pellets, worms, moths, bugs etc. Maybe his tank is too small. Do they only grow to there tank size, like fish? Whats yours in? Any ideas why hes smaller? Thanks alot.

Although yours may be a little on the small side for seven months, I wouldn't let it bother you. I think JKCs turtle is at the far opposite end of the growth curve (to his credit). As long as he's eating, healthy, and has good water quality, he should grow. Keep his water temp up around 78 to 80F and feed him every other day. You might try feeding him a little more at each feeding too but not to the point that there's alot of wasted food to trash your tank's water quality. Some people feed in a small separate container. This works really well once the turtle gets use to the routine.
