I started with insects for the first year then shifted to appropriately sized frozen thawed rodents. I switch back and forth on housing. Currently he is in a bared glass aquarium with about 1/2 - 3/4 inches clean water. He eats about every 1-2 months during cooler periods and as his mood for food grows it can be every 1-2 weeks. Right now he feeds hopper mice to jumbo mice.
