ok i decided 2 buy some tortoise stuff for my sulcata so i bought him sulcata gold tortoise diet: .. he loves it i fallowed the directions and soked it and mixed it in with grass hay and dandylion greens and he went 2 town on it .. bought a mineral block he chomped it up in 2 days but he is big so it really wasnt much.. clever cactus: not true smooth cactus pads they had none b/c bad growing season but what they gave me instead works well larger pads and tortoise still loves it..and last grass hay: vary good stuff not thick stalk grass but thin mixture and he loves it..

over all good products .. but nothing is better then a diet of fresh grasses/weeds witch my torts get all summer in his pen.. this food is only for the winter months..thanks aaron

I have been using the sulcata gold for some time now. Its great, the torts love it, its extremely good for them (vitamins and minerals in most ideal form) and its easy. I am currently taking a non-ruminant nutrition course and my professor is a veterinary nutritionist and she was very impressed with the composition of the diet. My only issue with it is that if its not soaked for the proper amount of time the center of the pieces are hard, and if the tort eats them they can potentially absoarb water inside the body and expand.
