I finally pulled the trigger on a dSLR

I just ordered the Pentax K10D, and am stoked. I went back and forth way too many times, between Pentax, Nikon and Canon, and the Pentax is just alot of camera for the money. I got the kit lense and grip, and will be buying a macro soon. Any thoughts on which macro to get for taking Ball pics? I have a short list, including the Tamron 90MM, the Sigma 105MM, and the Pentax 100MM. Feel free to add to it, or recommend one of these. I will probably wait a few weeks before ordering.

Let me know how you like it. I've been looking at the same model.

Congrats, that's a nice camera.

As for the macro, all three of those are good lenses and there isn't going to be any major difference in quality between them. Most people have only tried one of them, so it is hard to get real informed opinions. I have never heard anyone who owned any of these lenses say they wished they had the other.

Thanks Chris.

I have heard of "color" issues on the Tamron 90mm and 70-300mm, which might be enough to stear me in the other direction. Based on price, I think the Sigma 105mm might be the one. Anyone else have anything to add, you have about 10 days before I get my lense. Chris, I have heard the Pentax kit lense is actually useable, not like the Canon kit lense? What have you heard?

I will post some pics once I take some, and post my thoughts on the camera too. The in body Shake reductions was one of the important features, that and the dust reduction. And, it feels like a real camera when you hold it.
