Gravid Dumerils Boa

UKBorneoGuy Mar 05, 2007 04:12 PM

This is her second attempt after a rest last year and 9 produced in 2005. I didn't bother cooling this year just threw them in together from October to Feb. My knowledge seems to have withered since my precisely constructed first attempt - When is it best to take the male out? He was looking mighty thin and I have given him a good 4-5 months with her. I am a little worried as I think she has nearer 10-20 babies in her this time around and I dont want her coming out of it a sack of skin. She is nearly 7 years old now so I dont envisage many problems except her post birth weight.

If she has already ovulated, there is no point in leaving the male in with her. The job appears to be done Give him his own enclosure and some time to recooperate haha
