! My turtle might need medical help

jennelena Mar 12, 2007 06:41 PM

Earlier in the evening I decided to fill up my bath tub - without rinsing it out - and let my turtle swim around. He seemed fine but after a while he kept his eyes shut for long periods of time and was blinking periodically. I think maybe he got soap in his eyes and I'm not sure if I should take him to see a vet. I would appreciate any feedback tonight, seeing as I can't get a hold of a vet. Thank you!

This is late but I would've flushed the eyes with water right then.
If that didn't help I'd find a vet the next day as you'd planned.
How is the turtle now?

Oops, I had forgotten I posted this. I did try to run water over his eyes, which seemed to help. He is doing much better now, thanks for asking!
