I was thinking about getting a sulcatta, but I would have to be in an apartment for probably 2 years. I could get up to a 50 breeder when it gets older, but I was worried that it would out grow it that quickly.
How fast would it need to go outside? How long would a 20 long last?

Most people build what they call tortoise tables for them to live in when they are small.
Glass tanks don't work well, you have to cover the glass to prevent them from seeing out. If a sulcata can see out it will endlessly try to get out of the tank.
