How do i feed my fire-bellied newt?

aalvarez3287 Mar 18, 2007 02:45 PM

Well the topic pretty much explains it all. I have recently bought a fire-bellied newt and I have no idea how to feed it. Should I hand feed it, drop the live blood worms in the tank, take it out of the tank into a separate container containing only the newt, worms, and a little water?

I have no idea how to do this. Could you help me?

Usually you can just drop the food into the tank. Your newt should respond to the movement and eat it. Try not to feed more than it will eat, because that will cause the levels in the water, like ammonia and stuff, to be off.
