White's Tree Frog

bllanosr Apr 10, 2007 02:15 PM

My friend has been wanting a white's tree frog for quite some time. When I was looking for my first snake she was always there to support me (telling me where to go, going with me, and giving potential snakes a check up to see if it was a good quality snake). I've been looking in the classified section and haven't seen one yet. Her birthday is coming up (May 24) and would like to be able to get one by then. So please reply with any sites, breeders, online stores that have them. Thanks!

You really won't see Whites advertised that often as they are so common. You can get them at most chain pet stores like Petco, Petsmart etc.

If you want to go with a breeder you will be paying shipping which good breeders will only overnight and that will run around $25 for shipping plus the frog, I think they run around $20 more if it is a blue phase.

If you still want a breeder, you can check on talkto.thefrog.org, just post that you are wanting one but realize you will be talking around $45 total.

They also need heat (pet stores will often wrongly say they don't, they are from Australia and Indonesia). They also get big and require at minimum a 20 gal tank. And they eat alot! Crickets aren't cheap either, I spend $20/6wks for 2 small frogs; that is more than I pay for 3 cats.

That should have read "$20, more if a blue phase."

BTW if you can get a blue they are pretty cool.
