Peruvian alligator lizards

malice6372 Apr 12, 2007 03:02 PM

Hello,

Back in 1998, I bought a trio of lizards that were sold to me as Peruvian Alligator Lizards. They were about 3-4 inches long, all jet black, and did have the same shape and body of the larger al's. If anyone has worked with these or has a website with any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello:
They are probably a species of Abronia or Barisia. These are the two genera of Alligator Lizards usually associated with Tropical America. There are several species of each so now the fun begins to track down the animals you got.
Hope this info helps.
Have a Great Day!!!
