501 zoo med cannister filter?

rotarymagic Apr 12, 2007 08:56 PM

Anyone used this for their horned frogs' water area to keep it clean? Sorry if this is taboo compared to the stereotypical shallow water dish setup of most enclosures, but I feel that changing the water everday is somewhat of a chore and the intake on a duetto 100 requires a water level that would drown most horned frogs.

the 501 filter will require a good amount of water as well, usually at least 2-3 inches. i have one of these filters anf found it to be noisy and inadquate.
