What species is this??

scaleycid Apr 22, 2007 04:42 PM

Hi there,

just went to an expo in Tampa, FL today and picked up a day gecko, i had been wanting one for a while and the price was only 17 dollars, the problem is i couldnt figure out what species it was when i got home, i went through wikipedia and their long list of species and subspecies for the phelsuma genus but i couldnt match anything up. He's a small little guy maybe 5 inches long and has bright teal eye rings... does anyone recognize the species?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

how large can i expect this little guy to get??

Plus im having difficulty getting him to feed, ive tried putting out some dishes with a honey/water mixture plus a dish with small mealworms but he just wont touch anything, thought it just might take some time to get acclimated but its been about a week or so.

Try given him some baby food or crested gecko diet! And crickets.

Thats as big as its gona get by the looks of it.They usually get about 5 inches Total length
