All,

I have three adult ratsnakes that I got from someone who owed me some animals. They look like Four-lined Ratsnakes (Elaphe q. quatuorlineata) from Europe. I was told they were Japanese Four-lined Ratsnakes (Elaphe quadrivirgata) and that they were wild caught on Okanawa, Japan. Can anyone positively ID them? I will try to post the pictures but if this fails and you can help me please email me at OHI2007@elp.rr.com.

Anyone know how to post pics on the forums?

Thanks,

go to the very top of this page and click on the tab that says "photos". Then you can download pix from your hard-drive into the kingsnake.com photo gallery. You get a generous size photo gallery for free, and if you need more space, you can upgrade for a small price. It is ridiculously easy to do. Then whenever you post, you will have a drop down menu at the bottom of your post that lists your photos that you can just click and it will put them into your post.

The only wild "ratsnake" on Okinawa is the introduced population of the Taiwan Beauty, so that should tell you about the source I sent you an email.
