Thanks for a great time with the GCHS!

Hello everyone,

Thanks for a great time herping with me around the Cincinnati Nature Center.

While the weather was cool, we managed to find some beautiful garters, and the water snake was a thrill to catch and photograph!

It's great to see the interest of young people and their families in this hobby, and hopefully last night's excursion will help them to become lifelong field herpers!

Good luck in all terrain!

Neil

I had to work, so I missed your presentation, Neil. That said, I do want to thank you for making the long trip up here, and doing an outstanding job. It's appreciated. I'm glad you had a good time.

Take care,

Todd

Thanks Todd.

The running joke of the evening was "We found more herps in the vicinity of the nature center in an hour than the entire weekend in the survey areas of western KY."

Dean and I went out the next day and found many interesting herps. Hopefully he will post the pics soon.

LOL.

I know we all really enjoyd the presentation. It has been mentioned to me several times recently that we need more diversification in our talks.

Yours fit the bill.

What a great day in SC Ohio the next day too huh?
One lesson learned...remember the "rusty tin spot"

Well...Jason went there a few days later and the property owner had paid soemone to clear up ALL the tin! Next time...we need to HIDE some!

BTW...I'll post something soon but here's what we found in SC Ohio the next day:

racers (2 caught and 2 more bolted)
gaters (many)
ringneck (1 or 2)
5 line skinks (many)
black kingsnakes (2)
Eastern milks (3)

Sure I am missing something....but it was a great few hours of flipping and Neil caught some baby feral herp killers and took them home for adoption. Nicer than me Neil is.
