How many to feed?

Rachel4Rent May 07, 2007 07:06 PM

How many large crickets do I feed him a day? Or do I feed every other day? I have no idea! He readily ate 3 as soon as I put them in there today then one in the box was singing so I fed it to him and he ate that one FAST too! I'm thinking 5 or so a day but thats a complete guess. I gut load them and dust with calcium powder. Help? He's around 11 inches from the very tip of his nose to the very tip of his long tail. Also... I have yet to see him drink from any of the droplets all over his cage but I've seen him drink from the water bowl... Is that normal because I read the opposite. Thanks!

I feed both of mine 12 every 2 days, but the largest is like 7 inches.

They are very durable creatures at least mine are bahaman anoles so they take wear and tear like no other. Very lively creatures. I over feed them daily since it is easier for me

Although everyone here will say it is really bad to do that, but both of mine are wild caught and normally feed on small ants.

5 a day is more than enough. It probably eats so many since it is used to it. Then again it is a large one in my mind.

Water isn't a huge deal as long as they are getting it. Mine jump in the water dish fairly often. But it isn't deep so they are alright.
