Handling of Anoles?

bright184 May 10, 2007 06:05 PM

Hello!!

I'm very, very, new at being an anole mom. What is the best way to handle them? (Not to play with....so I can clean their cage!!)

I've spent entirely too much time chasing these guys around my house...what is the best way to move them from one place to another?

Thanks so much!!

I try not to hold them at all. I have a small critter keeper that I prop up inside the cage on end. I herd the lizard into the keeper and close the door. It's not easy, but I find it easier than trying to catch the little buggers.

It's stressful on both them and me, so I'm slowly changing them over to living vivaria (as I can afford to build them), so the need to chase them down will be reduced A LOT.
