Box turtle of some kind?

zanelee May 11, 2007 11:11 AM

I haven't been able to id this little guy yet.
Found her (after being chewed on by some animal) yesterday evening here in east texas.
She's approx. 4" long, and pretty non-descript when dry, but when wet her colors are nice.
Has the "hinge" doors on front and back.
I can't seem to figure out how to upload a picture? Is there a way, or do I have to load it somewhere else and put a link to it?
I'll post a picture as soon as I figure it out.

Any ideas?
TIA!

That looks to be a handsome, young, male Three-toed box turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis).
