I Need To Order a UVB Bulb

ColorfulCritters May 13, 2007 08:36 AM

I need a UVB bulb, or one of those 'PowerSun' bulbs that contain more natural sunlight. I just realized that the bulb I have is UVA, and I can't find one that has UVB at the petshops where I'm living. What website can I contact that would deliver one overseas?

I'm working in Asia, but am from the US. It's ultra-modern here, but turtle caretaking is still lacking. I'm looking for some essentials too.

How's 'ReptiSun' in this regard? Anyone know? I don't know whether or not these bulbs contain UVB, but upon visiting a petshop here, I'd read a very vague advertisement on one package deal for a 150W bulb. It's a heat lamp alright, but said something about it having UVB or another but couldn't really tell if it was referring to this or another bulb or if it was just being intentionally misleading.

I use the Super UV coil lamp made by ESU Reptile. It has UVB and UVA rays. The 20 wattage I get is equal to 75 watts of incandescent lighting. The only store near me in Central NY that carries it is called Pet Express. It's tough to find one with both types of rays, I went to four different places before I found one. Good luck in searching.
