Orlando area- reptile attractions?

sleepofapples May 14, 2007 11:11 PM

I am taking my first trip to Disneyworld (at the age of 24) this June. I have only been to florida once, for the Daytona reptile expo, so I am completely unfamiliar with the attractions there. Is there anything of interest that is not too far from Orlando? Cool reptile stores, shows, rescue areas or parks? Anything herp related within an hour or so? I am traveling with a bunch of people who really dont share my enthusiasm for creepy crawlies, so I'm trying to keep that in mind whilst planning. Thanks for any suggestions!

There is a place in St. Cloud, which is next to Kissimme/Orlando called Reptile World Serpentarium. It is inexpensive yet quite impressive. They have a huge variety of snakes and even do daily milkings. This place is really a gem even though it is off the beaten path. Kevin
